Job PurposeÂ
To provide engineering support and maintenance cover for hydraulic press systems and other site engineering requirements, ensuring maximum equipment availability and reliability while maintaining high safety standards.

Main Duties & ResponsibilitiesÂ
Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on hydraulic press systems
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimise production downtime
Service and monitor hydraulic systems to ensure optimum performance
Support press reliability improvement projects
Maintain critical spare parts stock levels
Provide engineering support across the site as required
Maintain other machinery and equipment within the department
Work flexibly around production requirements to support operational efficiency
Work safely and responsibly at all times
Maintain excellent timekeeping and attendance standards

Experience & Skills PreferredÂ
ExperienceÂ
Previous maintenance engineering experience within a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment
Experience working on hydraulic press systems
Knowledge of reactive and preventative maintenance practices
Experience fault-finding on hydraulic and mechanical systems
Â
QualificationsÂ
Engineering qualification or apprenticeship in Mechanical, Hydraulic, or Maintenance Engineering
Relevant maintenance or hydraulic certifications desirable
Â

Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexible and adaptable approach to work
Good communication skills
Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
Ability to prioritise workload effectively
