Warehouse Assistant
Location: Edinburgh EH12 9GD
Duration: 16th July – 31st July
Hours: 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 16:00)
Working Pattern: Fully on-site

Our client is currently recruiting for  an Warehouse Assistant to support the team.This is a short-term assignment involving the receipt, handling, and organisation of printed materials and delivery items.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, record, unpack, and sort incoming materials within the operating area.

    • Manage stock rotation to ensure materials are correctly organised and available for processing.

    • Identify, separate, and retain goods-inwards notices and address information to support operational and administrative functions.

    • Maintain accurate records of all deliveries in a central log to monitor volumes and identify any shortfalls in receipt levels.

    • Support administrative processes by separating correspondence, delivery notes, and documentation to update claims, receipts, and supplier data.

    • Liaise with delivery drivers to ensure all incoming materials are accounted for and received in good condition.

    • Ensure correct separation and management of all waste materials generated through goods-in operations.

    • Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet operational priorities and service requirements.

    • Contribute to continuous improvement of procedures, documentation, and service standards.

    • Participate in training and development activities as required.

Person SpecificationEssential Skills, Abilities & Knowledge
  • No formal qualifications required.

    • Ability to accurately identify and separate materials based on agreed categories and requirements.

    • Strong attention to detail with the ability to make accurate decisions when handling goods and supporting information.

    • Ability to work effectively on routine tasks with minimal supervision.

    • Good problem-solving and interpretation skills in day-to-day duties.

    • Basic literacy and numeracy skills.

    • Reliable, organised, and methodical approach to work.
