Pertemps are exclusively recruiting for a well established accountancy practice based in Giffnock is looking to appoint an experienced Payroll Executive to join its payroll team. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional with previous accountancy practice or payroll bureau experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced client-focused environment.

The Role
You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of payroll clients across a variety of sectors, ensuring payrolls are processed accurately and on time while maintaining excellent client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
- Processing weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls for multiple clients
- Managing payroll queries and providing support to clients
- Processing starters, leavers, pensions and statutory payments
- Submitting RTI returns and ensuring HMRC compliance
- Administering auto-enrolment pension schemes
- Maintaining accurate payroll records and reports
- Liaising with HMRC and pension providers where required
- Supporting the wider practice team with payroll-related mattersÂ
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience within an accountancy practice or payroll bureau environment is essential
- Strong working knowledge of Sage 50 Payroll and Xero Payroll
- Excellent understanding of payroll legislation and HMRC processes
- Experience managing multiple payrolls simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confident communicator with a professional and client-focused approach
- CIS experience would be advantageous but is not essential
